I am a trained real estate paralegal who started my professional career working at a successful local realty company, Boone & Company, Realtors, in 1990. After 10 years of working with real estate agents and brokers, I moved to working for one of the nation's largest banks, learning lending documents from the ground up. While with the bank, I worked preparing new loan packages, reviewing title reports, trust and power of attorney documents for bank policy purposes, and coordinating with borrowers, lenders and closing/settlement agents over a period of 13 years. I pursued and obtained an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, while working full time and raising my 4 children, before moving on to work with both real estate attorneys and a settlement company. This enhanced my understanding of the real estate process as I worked with buyers, sellers, title abstractors, underwriters, lenders and county clerk's offices to ensure real estate transactions were completed smoothly. In my position as real estate paralegal, I have worked with sellers and borrowers to sign documents and am able to clearly explain in understandable terms the documents being signed. I enjoy working and helping people to achieve their goals!
