My name is Stephen Underwood, and I am a NNA-certified Notary Signing Agent based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. I bring 19 years of experience as a kitchen table Reverse Mortgage loan originator, where I regularly met clients in their homes and personally attended the majority of their closings. That background has given me a deep familiarity with loan documents and the closing process, especially for seniors and their families.

Over the years, I have observed or participated in roughly 500 signings, including reverse mortgages and refinances, and I handled my first day of signings without any issues. I’m comfortable working with attorneys and their clients for documents that need to be signed outside the office, and I understand the care required when working with elder law matters.
